Rosalie Beatrice Mazut

Westfield – Beatrice Rosalie Mazut, 88, beloved mother, grandmother and sister passed away on March 28, 2017 at Life Care Center in Wilbraham. She was born in Suffield, CT to the late Leon Buczynski and Genevieve Evangelista. She graduated High School in Suffield, CT. She was employed at several area businesses during her career as a secretary including Hamilton Standard, Western Mass Hospital and Juniper Park School. Beatrice was also lifetime caregiver for her husband Eli Mazut who passed away in 1985 after a long battle with MS. She loved sewing, knitting, baking and going on trips. She was a member of the Southwick Scrabble Club and enjoyed playing for 25 years. In addition to her parents and husband Eli, Beatrice was predeceased by her brother, Felix and her sisters, Reggie and Connie. She leaves her daughter, Cheryl Goudreau and her husband Kenneth of West Springfield; her son, Mark Mazut and his wife Suzanne of Long Island, NY; a sister, Shirley Drenzek of Agawam; and 5 grandchildren, Deanna, Christopher and his wife Anna, Steffen, Nik, and Maria. Family and friends are invited to attend visiting hours on Thursday, March 30th from 4-7p.m. at Southwick Forastiere Funeral Home, 624 College Highway, Southwick. Beatrice’s funeral service will be held on Friday, March 31st in the funeral home at 11:30a.m. Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
