Vlasia (Sia) Fuda, age 81 peacefully passed away at home surrounded by a devoted family and dear friends on February 1, 2020. Sia was born in Rethi Corinth, Greece on October 30, 1938 to the late Panagiotis and Eleni (Kalogera) Teazi. Sia was a doting and loving wife, mother and grandmother with a contagious personality that magnetized people toward her. She was a fashionable, energetic and personable woman, who enjoyed the company of family and friends as she prepared delicious Greek dinners and pastry. Gardening and flowers were her passion as she was blessed with two “green thumbs.” Throughout her life, she demonstrated altruism and compassion as she always assisted others in need. Sia leaves her beloved and cherished husband, Charles, to whom she was married to for fifty wonderful and happy years. She was predeceased by her sisters Toula Boumi, Mary Kosidou and her nephew Megas Kosidou in Greece. Sia leaves one son, Anthony Fuda, and his wife Florence, one grandson, one granddaughter and two great grandchildren whom she adored. In Greece, she leaves her devoted niece Giota, whom she loved like a daughter with her family. There are several other relatives in Greece. Calling hours for Vlasia will be held from 4-7pm on Wednesday, February 5, 2020 at Colonial Forastiere Funeral Home, 985 Main St., Agawam. She will lie in state on Thursday, February 6th at St. George Greek Orthodox Cathedral, 22 St. George Rd., Springfield, MA, from 8:30-9:30AM, with a Mass to follow in the Cathedral.
