West Springfield- Vincent R. Pernice, 94, husband of the late Bertha M. (Rhodes) Pernice, died Wednesday October 9, 2019.

He was born on March 25, 1925 in Springfield , the son of the late Ray and Mary (Songina) Pernice. Vincent was also predeceased by a son, Kevin Pernice.

Vincent was a veteran of W.W. II, having served in the Army Air Force.
He was last employed by and retired from Sears Department Store, located at the Holyoke Mall.

He was a member of Post #124 Westfield.

Vincent is survived by his two grandsons Vincent Pernice and his wife Kaylee and Ryan Pernice; a great grandson Vincent Pernice III. He also leaves his “adopted daughter in law” Irene Griffin.

Family and friends may gather from 10:00 AM until 11:30 AM on Wednesday October 16, 2019 in the Southwick Forastiere Family Funeral Home, 624 College Highway , Southwick. A funeral home service will follow at 11:30AM. Burial with military honors will follow in the Massachusetts Veterans’ Memorial Cemetery, 1390 Main St., Agawam. www.forastiere.com
