Thomas Nicholas O'Neill

O’Neill, Thomas N., 85, passed away peacefully May 19, 2020. Born February 8, 1935 in Holyoke, MA, he was a son to the late Nicholas and Winifred (Lavelle) O’Neill. He was a veteran of the armed forces serving proudly with the US Army. He graduated from Sacred Heart High School in Holyoke, MA and was a proud graduate of Michigan State University where he played on the baseball team. He was a Mortgage Loan Officer for Westbank until his retirement. Tom was a proud member of the Holyoke Lodge of Elks and was past president of the John Boyle O’Reilly Club. He was an avid Boston sports fan; however, his greatest joy was spending time with his family. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his beloved wife Patricia, his sister Mary and his brothers John, Edward and Francis. He is survived by his son Thomas and his wife Sarah; his daughter Mary Welch and her husband John and his son Timothy and his wife MaryJo; grandchildren Jack, Sean, Luke, William, Katherine, Molly and Sarah; and many loving relatives and friends. A private service will be held on Tues. May 26th. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
