Theresa Ciarmatori

Theresa Ciarmatori (Valenti), a beacon of joy and laughter, passed away on March 13, 2024, at the age of 75. Born on October 6, 1948, in Agawam, Massachusetts, Theresa's vibrant journey took her from the heart of New England to the historic streets of Rome, Italy, where she found love with her beloved husband, Duilio Ciarmatori, until his passing in 2005.
Known for her infectious laughter and unmatched wit, Theresa was a true jokester, leaving a trail of joy wherever she went. Her ability to light up a room with her humor was a gift to all who knew her. A devoted English teacher at the Agawam Junior High School and stickler for grammar, she inspired countless students with her passion for education and her knack for making learning an adventure. Beyond the classroom, Theresa's endearing spirit made her a cherished friend, always ready with a joke to lighten the hearts of those around her.
She leaves behind a loving family: Her daughter Dina Ciarmatori and husband, Laith Yousif, along with grandchildren Massimo and Alessia who will never forget her. Her sister Mary Grimaldi (Michael), Her Brother Joe Valenti (Donna), She also leaves many nieces and nephews; Michael, Joseph, Teresa, Albert, Anthony and James originally of Agawam, MA as well as Iris, Mauro, Stefania and Maurizio originally of Rome, Italy. She leaves countless grand nieces and nephews, cousins and friends who adored her and were always by her side. Theresa was predeceased by her loving parents Pasquale and Yolanda (Torrisi) Valenti.
Rest in peace, Theresa. Your spirit lives on in the stories we share and the memories we hold dear. Your journey through this world may have come to an end, but your story, your laughter and your love remain with us forever. Theresa's ability to see the joy and humor in life, to connect deeply with her many lifelong friends, and to cherish her family, defines her enduring legacy. You have taught us the true meaning of loyalty, the strength of love, and the value of cherishing every moment. Your memory will forever be a guiding light, a source of comfort, and a reason to smile through our tears.

Family and friends are invited to her visitation on Wednesday March 20, 2024 from 4pm – 7pm at Colonial Forastiere Funeral & Cremation, 985 Main St., Agawam MA. Her Funeral Service will be on Thursday March 21, 2024 at 10am at the funeral home. Followed by her burial at St. Thomas the Apostle Cemetery, West Springfield.
