Teresa A. Fusaro

East Longmeadow – Teresa Ann (Santangelo) Fusaro, 92, beloved mother and grandmother passed away at home with her loving family by her side on Monday, March 5, 2018. She was born in Springfield to the late Anthony and Margherita (Fusco) Santangelo on March 9, 1925. Raised in Springfield, she graduated from the High School of Commerce in 1943. She worked as a stenographer for Hampden Color and Chemical and then Arthur A. Fogarty Trucking, both in Springfield. In 1947 she met her future husband Ray Fusaro and they were married in 1948. Teresa helped Ray in his business, Raymond F. Fusaro Builders established in 1953. A 52 – year resident of East Longmeadow, she was a communicant of St. Michael’s Church. Teresa’s greatest joy was being a wife, mother and grandmother. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends. In addition, to her parents she was predeceased by her loving husband, Ray in 2007; and her sister, Rose Santangelo. She leaves her son, Paul Fusaro and his wife Mary K.; her daughter, Mary R. Whelihan and her husband Scott; 4 grandchildren, Nicholas and Jessica Kososki, and Victoria and Giuliana Whelihan, all of Hampden. Services are private at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are entrusted to Forastiere Smith Funeral Home, East Longmeadow.
