Susan K. Thornton

Southwick- Susan Karen (Shaw) Thornton, 69, passed away unexpectedly at home, on October 22, 2019.
She was the wife of the late Willis Ambrose Thornton to whom she was married to for 30 years.
Born in Springfield, daughter of the late Donald Everet and Shirley Ann (Larson) Shaw, Susan was a life long resident of Southwick. She was a member of the First Congregational Church in Southwick. She had been employed as part of the kitchen staff at Noble Hospital in Westfield. Susan is survived by her very loving family-her four children, Shirley Litwak and her husband Brian, of Westfield, Holly Heroux and her husband Jason of Myrtle Beach, SC, Eric Thornton of Dorchester, MA, Jeremy Thornton of Monson; four grandchildren, Joshua Palmer, Austin Palmer, Chelsea Heroux, Alex Heroux; and three sisters, Debra Pich and her husband George, of Wallingford, CT, Nancy Shaw of Turners Falls, MA, Audrey Shaw of Virginia.
Calling hours will take place on Friday 10:00AM until 12:00 NOON ; with a funeral home service at 12:00 NOON all in the Southwick Forastiere Family Funeral Home, 624 College Highway, Southwick with burial to follow in the New Cemetery , Southwick. www.forastiere.com
