Obituary

Stephen Ray Comeau, 27, passed away July 12, 2020. Born July 29, 1992 in Springfield, MA, he was the son to Raymond C. Comeau Jr. and Karen E. Smith. He was a graduate of Granby High School and received his Associate’s Arts Degree in PreMed/Dental from Holyoke Community College. In 2018, Stephen enlisted with the U.S. Air Force where he excelled and graduated at the top 1% of his class. He was currently serving our country proudly as a Systems Security Officer at Langley Air Force Base in Hampton, Virginia. Stephen enjoyed anything fitness related including hiking, biking and running. He was known on base as the “Undefeated” Beer Pong Champion of his unit, and his greatest joy in life was spending time with family and friends. Stephen leaves his father Raymond C. Comeau Jr. and his companion, Maria Serafino; mother Karen E. Smith; brother Kyle Parrott; step-brothers Jaeden Morgan, Joseph and Nicholas Mercier; step-sisters Nicole Marie Cloutier and her husband, Spencer and Briannah Mercier; maternal grandparents Frances and George Daly, and Robert Smith and his companion Trish Savoy; uncles Michael Smith and his wife, Tanya, Joshua Smith and his wife, Megan; aunts Jenny Smith and Michele-Lee Shea and her husband, Christopher; Stephen’s girlfriend Madeline Spencer-Orrell; his canine companion Bailey; and numerous cousins, other loving relatives and friends including his Air Force family, especially the 633D Communications Squadron and Air Combat Command. Calling hours for Stephen will be held from 4-6PM on Thursday, July 23, 2020 at Colonial Forastiere Funeral Home, 985 Main St., Agawam, with a celebration of life ceremony beginning at 6PM with military honors concluding. A private burial will be held at the convenience of his family.
