Stanley Poplawski Jr.

Stanley “Stan” Poplawski Jr., 85, passed away peacefully August 31, 2019 at home surrounded by his loving wife. Born April 13, 1934 in Webster, MA, he was a son to the late Stanley Sr. and Vitalia (Uclatis) Poplawski. Stan graduated from Bartlett High School and was employed for 31 years as a security officer for Pratt & Whitney, a division of United Technologies in East Hartford, retiring in 1991. He was an active member of Sacred Heart Church in Feeding Hills, a devout Catholic and was a member of the Nocturnal Adoration Society, past member of the Apostolate of the Suffering, and member of St. Martha’s Guild. He was also an Extraordinary Minister and an Adult Altar Server. Stan leaves his devoted wife of 45 years Hope (Maddaloni) Poplawski; son Brian Poplawski of Webster, MA; daughter Lynn Siekierski and her husband, Jim of North Grosvenordale, CT; grandchildren Aaron and his wife, Jenna, Bret, Brooks and Bryce; great-grandsons Hudson and Walker; and brother Robert Poplawski of Webster, MA. Family and friends are invited to attend visiting hours on Thursday, September 5, 2019 from 4-7pm at Colonial Forastiere Funeral Home, 985 Main St., Agawam. Stan’s funeral service will be held on Friday, September 6th beginning at 9AM from the funeral home with a Liturgy of Christian Burial, to be celebrated at 10AM, at Sacred Heart Church in Feeding Hills, MA. Burial will follow in St. Michael’s Cemetery, Springfield.
