Shirley C. Taylor

Shirley C. Taylor, 89, of Feeding Hills, passed over to our Lord’s home in Monday, January 1, 2018. She was born in Springfield, MA on May 23, 1928 and was the daughter of the late Harry and Olive Morse. Shirley grew up in Springfield and attended Springfield Schools. She spent many days of her childhood in Montgomery, MA on her uncle’s farm. She lived in Feeding Hills for over 60 years with her family. Shirley worked as a Letter Carrier for 20 years for the US Postal Service in Feeding Hills. She was predeceased by her daughter Kathryn Manley in 1999 and grandson Brett in 2011. Shirley is survived by her loving husband of 69 years, Richard L. Taylor; her sons Richard and wife Laura, and Larry and wife Ruth; and her daughter Gail and husband Paul; and son-in-law Donald. She also leaves her grandchildren, Richard, Justin, Jessica, Ashley, Danielle, Donald, and Aaron; step-grandchildren, Charlie, Katie, Christopher, and Chip; and several great-grandchildren. Her family will receive friends on Saturday, January 6th from 11AM - 12PM at Colonial Forastiere Funeral & Cremation, 985 Main St., Agawam, followed by a Memorial Service at 12PM. Burial will be held in the spring. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
