Obituary

Shirley F. Soule

1922 - 2021

Agawam – The family of Shirley French Soule is sad to announce her passing on Friday, October 1, 2021 in Baystate Medical Center. Born in East Hartford CT, Shirley was one of seven children of her parents Eugene and Mary (Longworth) French. She received her Associates Degree for secretarial studies and was an Executive Assistant for an astounding seventy years. She was fabulous at her profession where she worked for CT Mutual Life Insurance and then Glastonbury Board of Education. Shirley was the life of the party, even at 99 years young she had a wonderful sense of humor. In addition to spending time with her family, her favorite things were shopping and dining out, as well as a competitive scrabble game. She was the most loving and caring person, and will certainly be missed.

Shirley’s beloved husband Herbert Soule passed away in 2003. She leaves to cherish her memory, her son Herbert Soule III and his wife Janet of Beaufort SC, her daughter Sharon Brouillard and her husband Mike of Orchard Park NY, four grandchildren: Matt, Justin, Adam and Kevin, and four great-grandchildren. Besides her parents and husband, Shirley is predeceased by her four brothers and two sisters.
