Obituary

WARREN, MA – Sheryl A. (MacConnell) Klatt, 71, passed away peacefully on November 29, 2022 at Baystate Medical Center surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Palmer, MA on August 31, 1951, she was the eldest daughter of the late Robert J. and Barbara (Nichols) MacConnell. She graduated from Tantasqua Regional High School in 1969. 

 

After high school, she attended Worcester State College and for many years, she worked as a nurse’s aide at various medical facilities including UMASS Memorial in Worcester and the Masonic Home in Charlton. In her spare time, Sheryl loved being an outstanding and exceptional “Mema” to her grandchildren, whom she loved so dearly. She also loved her dogs, Dash and Tula with her whole heart.  They meant everything to her.  Her love for all animals did not go unnoticed.  She also enjoyed going to the casino, to the beach, and to concerts.

 

Her family will fondly remember her for having the biggest heart and always doing for others. She will be remembered for being a loving and devoted wife, and a wonderful mother, sister, aunt, “Mema” and friend.  Sheryl was always known for being the life of the party.  She will be greatly missed.

 

Sheryl leaves behind her three children, Jennifer Ghareeb and her husband Gregory of Longmeadow, Jonathan Klatt and his wife Sandra of Nantucket and Clifford Klatt and his fiancée Nora O’Brien of Worcester; her grandchildren Adelyn and Liliana Ghareeb and Ashley and Katie Klatt; her siblings Heather Eremita and her husband Michael, James MacConnell, Julie Wallis and her husband David, and Deborah Fisher as well as her nieces and nephews Robert, Matthew, Megan, Mitchell, Morgan, Jackie, Abigail, Sarah and Abe. She was predeceased by her husband DuWayne R. Klatt in 2015.
