Sharlene T. Moran

Springfield – Sharlene Terese Moran, 59, beloved mother, sister, aunt and friend passed away peacefully on May 17, 2019 with her loving family by her side. She was born in Springfield to the late John and Mary (Sotolotto) Moran. She graduated in 1978 from Classical High School as the class president. Sharlene worked as a bartender and waitress for many years at Take 5 and then The Riverboat Bar in Agawam. She found her heart at the beach, taking annual vacations to the Connecticut shoreline with friends and family. Throughout the years she met many people and impacted many lives. She will be greatly missed for her big heart by all who had the pleasure of meeting her and especially by her family. She is survived by her children, Daniel Cotter and Kira Cotter both of Wilbraham; her former husband, David Cotter of Springfield; her sister, Linda Gentile of Springfield; her brothers, John Moran of Springfield, and Mark Moran and his wife Judy of Keene, NH; her step-brother, Gregory Jette of Virginia Beach, VA; and her sister-in-law, Mary Moran. Sharlene was a beloved aunt to her nieces and nephews. She also leaves her nearest and dearest friends of over 50 years, Karla Impionbato-Sass and Katherine Hickey-Jendreau. Family and friends are invited to attend visiting hours on Thursday, May 23rd from 8AM-11AM followed by a Celebration of Life at 11AM in Forastiere Smith Funeral and Cremation, 220 North Main St., East Longmeadow. A private interment in St. Patrick’s Cemetery in Chicopee will be held at the family’s convenience.
