Sabrina Nye

Sabrina Nye, 50, of Springfield, MA, died peacefully on Thursday, July 23, 2020 after a long and courageous battle against cancer. Sabrina was born in Middletown, CT and grew up in Windsor, CT. She attended Windsor High School and graduated from Paier College of Art with a B.A. in Interior Design. She went on to have a successful and rewarding career in corporate interior design where she managed many departments in the completion of design projects. Sabrina was an avid traveler. She enjoyed exploring her way through Europe and she especially loved Mexico. The beach was her happy place, and she had a special fondness for sunrises and sunsets. She had yet to find a more beautiful beach than those in Tulum, MX, with the water in different
shades of blue and green and soft white sand. She enjoyed skiing in Vermont, particularly at Stratton Mountain, where many special friendships were cultivated. She also loved hanging out with her cousins
at the Cape. Sabrina had a love for fine dining, museums, architecture, and pottery. She had a passion for Ashtanga Yoga, and cherished the many supportive friends she made in the yoga community. Sabrina is survived by her mother, Patricia Nye, of Windsor CT, and predeceased by her father, Perley J. Nye. She also leaves behind her best and beloved friend, Amy Benner Joseph, of Hampden, MA and her
family, Nina, Anthony, and Lou Joseph. In addition, her cat Fausto will miss his Mom dearly. Her family would like to express their heartfelt thanks and appreciation to John Morello and Kassia
Borgio for their loving care, compassion, and support provided during Sabrina's illness. Relatives and friends are invited to visit on Friday, July 31, 2020, 10am-12pm, at Forastiere Smith Funeral & Cremation, 220 N. Main St, East Longmeadow, MA 01028. Gifts of bright flowers are welcome and can be sent directly to Forastiere. In lieu of donations, go on vacations!
