Rose E. Kieffer
1951 – 2022
Rosemarie E. (Fredette) Kieffer, sadly passed away on Friday, September 16th, 2022 at Mercy Hospital. Born in Springfield, she was the daughter of the late Jeannette (Denette) and Arthur Fredette. Rose and her husband John resided in Agawam for many years, and co-owned a property management company and landscaping and snow removal business. They enjoyed riding motorcycles together, and were members of UTR Motorcycle club with her sister and brother-in-law. Rose was a member of St. Thomas Church and was a former president of the Agawam Lioness. She drove for Shriners Children’s Hospital, bringing patients to and from their doctors’ appointments. Rose also loved crafts, trips to the casino with her friends, traveling, and she adored cats – so much so that she had eight cats at one time. Rose was a kind and generous person, who will be greatly missed.
Her husband John sadly passed away in December of 2011. Rose is survived by her brother Edward and his wife Lore Fredette of California, her sister Jeanne Brittingham and her husband Michael of Maryland, her sister-in-law Patricia Fredette and brother-in-law Daniel Kieffer, nieces Shari and Christa, nephews Edward Jr. and Christian, and special friends Pat and Ron Lalancette and Kathy and Russ LaFrance. Besides her husband and parents, Rose was predeceased by her brothers Thomas and Arthur Fredette.
To honor and pay tribute to Rose, services will begin on Thursday, September 22, 2022 with a visiting hour from 9:30am -10:30am Colonial Forastiere Funeral & Cremation on 985 Main Street in Agawam, followed by a 11am mass in St. Thomas the Apostle Church and burial in St. Thomas Cemetery.
