Robert “Bob” Wichroski

Bob Wichroski, 78, of Southwick, MA, passed away on July 19, 2021. He was the son of the late Anthony and Anna (Kogut) Wichroski. Bob was the loving husband of Marilyn (Minor) Wichroski for 55 years. Born and raised in Springfield, MA, he graduated from Cathedral High School and worked at American Saw & Mfg. Co. for 30 years.

Bob enjoyed many wonderful memories with his family on the Congamond lakes. In his youth he spent summers on the lake and was known for his love of water sports, including slalom waterskiing, skiing on homemade stilts, parasailing and performing pyramids with the ski club. He was actively involved in local causes supporting the natural environment and served on several committees over the years, including the Conservation Commission, Citizens Restoring Congamond and the Hampden Conservation District. He loved the outdoors and enjoyed boating, gardening, camping, train shows and spending time with family and friends.

Besides his wife Marilyn, he is survived by his four children, Robin Lessard and her husband Dana of Zephyrhills, FL, Wendy of South Weymouth, MA, Todd of Southwick MA, and Tracey Davis and her husband John of Southwick MA and his dearly loved granddaughter, Hailey Davis. He is predeceased by three sisters Jeannette Edwards, Ruth Perusse, and Carol (Galeziowski) Bellinger.

Family and friends are invited to celebrate Bob’s life on Friday July 23, 2021 from 9:30am-11:30am at Southwick Forastiere Funeral & Cremation, 624 College Hwy, Southwick MA. A service will follow at 11:30am. Burial in New Cemetery, Southwick.
