Robert Toth

Robert John (Bob) Toth, 75, died unexpectedly at home on Sunday, July 5th in Springfield, MA. Bob was born on May 5, 1945 in Perth Amboy, NJ to Helen (Krimin) and Steve Toth of Carteret, NJ. He graduated from Carteret High School in 1963 and served his country in the United States Air Force until 1968 where he became an Electronics Engineer. He settled in Western MA shortly after and has been there ever since. Over time he has found great enjoyment in computer programming, wood working, speaker building, photography, fishing and model making. He was an avid Sci-Fi fan and a die hard Trekie! He was a man who reveled in luxury when traveling, but he was mostly a quiet homebody who was happy to just be in the presence of his wife and family. Bob is survived by his loving wife of 35 years, Robin Toth; his 3 sons, Robert Toth of Springfield, MA, Stephen Toth and his wife Molly of Hampden, MA and Michael Toth and his wife Sarah of Agawam, MA, one brother Stephen Toth and his wife Roberta of Oldsmar, Florida, and his 6 precious Grandchildren, Stephen Toth, Cassandra Toth, Mason Toth, Annabelle Toth, Lumen Toth and Haywood Toth. He is preceded in death by his parents. The visiting hours will be Tuesday morning, July 14th from 9:00 to 10:30 at Forastiere Smith Funeral Home, 220 North Main St., East Longmeadow (masks and social distancing required). His funeral procession will leave at 11:00 AM. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated in St. Mary’s Church, Longmeadow at 11:30 (masks and social distancing required).
