Robert T. Holbrook Sr.

Florida – Robert Holbrook, Sr., 80, of Lantana, FL and Springfield, MA, passed away Thursday November 2, 2017. Born in Springfield on April 29, 1937 to the late Arthur and Anne (Kelly) Holbrook, he served his country honorably in the United States Air Force. Bob was a Firefighter for the Town of Longmeadow for 20 years and took a lot of pride in his work as a longtime Self Employed Licensed Contractor. In his younger years, Bob enjoyed playing golf and fishing but was most often found woodworking or building something and cheering on the Boston Red Sox. He is survived by his children, Robert Holbrook, Jr. and his wife Tina of Windham, ME, Stephen Holbrook and his fiancée, Naureen Attiullah of Grafton, MA, Dean Holbrook, Lory Wheeler and her husband David and Lisa Hastie; his brother, Arthur Holbrook and his wife Edith of Longmeadow; several dear grandchildren, including Michael, Matthew, Heather, Jessica, David, Zachary, Devynne, Michael, Mitchell and Melissa; many great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews and cousin, Thomas Baker of Springfield. Family and friends are invited to meet for calling hours on Monday November 13th, 2017 from 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM at the Colonial Forastiere Funeral Home, 985 Main St., Agawam, MA followed by a 1:00 PM service in the funeral home. Committal Services with Military Honors will be held at 2:00 PM in the Chapel at the Massachusetts Veterans’ Memorial Cemetery, 1390 Main St., Agawam. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Robert’s memory to the Disabled American Veterans, Mass State House, Room 546, Boston, MA 02133.
