Rajeev Ramaswamy

LONGMEADOW – Rajeev “Raj” Ramaswamy, 51, passed away on May 5, 2022 at Baystate Medical Center. Born on April 6, 1971 in Springfield, MA, he was a son of Frieda (Deutsch) Ramaswamy and the late Dr. Palanivelu J. Ramaswamy. 

A native of Longmeadow, he attended Longmeadow High School and Nichols College before moving to Atlanta, South Florida, and Newton, MA. Raj was an avid sports fan and was a devoted fan to all Boston teams. Boating, the beach and summers at the Cape were formative and happy times for Raj.

Besides his parents, Raj leaves his brother Sanjay Ramaswamy and his wife Elizabeth; his sisters Renu Englehart and her husband Peter and Leela Watson and her husband Michael as well as his niece and nephews Kaya, Brady and Noah Watson, Zachary and Aaron Ramaswamy and Nicholas and his wife Sarah, Duncan, and Cooper Englehart.

Funeral services will be held privately.
