Phyllis (Bennett) Bogert of Longmeadow, MA. Age 90. Born in Coventry, RI.
Graduated from Wellesley College in 1950 and later received an MA from American International College (AIC). Phyllis was a science teacher, and later, chairman of the Science Department at Williams and Glenbrook Middle Schools in Longmeadow. After retiring in 1992, she worked as a reference and circulation librarian at the Storrs Library, Longmeadow, and as Coordinator of the Council on Aging’s Senior Reader program in the elementary schools. She also volunteered at St. Andrew’s Church and Glen Meadow in Longmeadow. She is survived by her husband of 69 years, John Bogert; three children – Susan Bogert and her husband, Joseph McNulty, of Beaux Arts, WA; Peter Bogert of Sterling, MA; and Henry Bogert and his wife Carolyn, of Sun Valley, ID; and two grand daughters – Sara Bogert and Melissa Bogert. Memorial contributions may be made to the Storrs Library in Longmeadow, MA.
