Peppino "Pepe" A. Maruca

East Longmeadow – Beloved son, brother, father, and uncle Peppino “Pepe” A. Maruca, 47, sadly passed away at home. He was a longtime resident of East Longmeadow and was one of eight children of his parents Umberto and Linda (Farina) Maruca. He graduated from East Longmeadow High School and was a professional tree climber.
Pepe’s beloved mother, Linda, predeceased him in 2003. He is survived by his father Umberto Maruca of East Longmeadow, his daughter Kayla Maruca of West Hartford CT, his four brothers: Peter of East Longmeadow, Umberto and his wife Kara of Monson, Michael of East Longmeadow, Thomas of Bar Harbor ME; three sisters: Angela Eckert and her husband Patrick of East Longmeadow, Lena Maruca of East Longmeadow and Marisa Maruca of East Longmeadow; and many nieces and nephews: Michael Maruca, Mia, Joey, and Emily Eckert, and Dominic, Vincenzo and Santina Maruca.
Visiting hours will be held on Thursday, May 30th from 4:00-7:00pm at Forastiere Smith Funeral Home on 220 N. Main Street in East Longmeadow. His funeral will begin at 10:30am, Friday, May 31, 2019, at the funeral home, followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 11:30am in St. Michael’s Church in East Longmeadow. Burial will take place in St. Michael’s Cemetery in Springfield. Donations may be made in Pepe’s memory to benefit Rays of Hope at 280 Chestnut Street, Springfield MA 01199. www.forastiere.com.
