Paul H. Lombardini, Jr.

November 6, 1958 ~ September 12, 2017 (age 58) 58 Years Old
FEEDING HILLS – Paul H. Lombardini, Jr. 58, passed away unexpectedly on September 12, 2017 at Bay State Noble Hospital. Born in Springfield, MA to the late Paul and Amelia (Biela) Lombardini. Paul was a 1976 graduate of Agawam High School and later attended Springfield Technical Community College, receiving a certificate in machining. He started his career path at Simon Container and EBTEC. He then worked for Wayne Industries for 22 years and Litron for 8 ½ years before being employed at Joining Technologies where he was a quality control manager. Paul’s family was the world to him, especially his wife, Gayle. He would text her daily with his expressions of love for her. After, 34-plus years of marriage, Paul and Gayle still dated weekly: whether it was dinners out, enjoying each other’s company on the deck or weekends away, especially to Newport, RI. Just days before Paul’s untimely death they spent an extended weekend in Portland, Maine ending their trip with lunch at his sister Pam’s home in Salem. Paul’s sons, Brett and Ryan, were the apples of his eye. He was a wonderful father and enjoyed being involved with their activities. For 15 years, he coached Pioneer Valley Soccer in Agawam and was the recipient of the Jeff McCarl Award. He also coached baseball at Sacred Heart Church. Brett and Ryan grew up with Paul’s love and excitement of NASCAR races, hotrods and detailing their vehicles over and over. In addition, Paul inherited a gift for fine woodworking skills from his father and shared his talent on projects with his sons. When Brett married Heather (Regensburger) Paul finally got the daughter he never had. His family was now complete. As stated by Paul’s oldest son, Brett, “…(he) taught me everything I know about life, family, working hard, and being a good person.”Paul and his sister Pamela Lombardini, of Salem, MA, cherished a close and loving relationship. They shared weekly telephone calls and talked about everything from daily events to the Three Stooges. Paul leaves to cherish his memory, his loving wife Gayle (Prentice) of Feeding Hills; his sons Brett Lombardini and his wife Heather of Granby, CT and Ryan Lombardini of Agawam and his sister Pamela Lombardini of Salem, MA. Family and friends are invited to gather on Sunday, September 17, 2017 from 2-5 PM at Colonial Forastiere Funeral Home, 985 Main Street, Agawam, MA.
