Patricia A. Harvey, 87, of Agawam died Friday, November 19th surrounded by her loving family. She was predeceased by her devoted husband Sidney P. Harvey Jr. in 2008 after 47 years of marriage. Pat leaves behind two daughters, Lee Ann Harvey and her husband Peter Leemans of Lint, Belgium, and Lori Harvey of Agawam. She will always be loved and treasured by her grandson Kevin Leemans. Pat leaves a sister and her husband, Judy and Jim Wallace of Pittsfield, six nieces and nephews as well as many grand/great grandnieces and nephews. She leaves an extended family of Marchetti, LaCross, Hebert, Snyder and Ball relatives. She will be fondly remembered by her godson Ted Hebert and her goddaughter Lisa Grant. Born in Springfield, Massachusetts on June 1, 1934, Pat was the daughter of the late Alfred J. Marchetti and Maybelle R. (LaCross) Marchetti. She was a proud graduate of the High School of Commerce Class of 1951. Straight from high school, Pat began her career in the wholesale building products industry first with Warren F. Hoye Building Materials and then later with Valley Wholesale Building Products where she retired as “Cabinet Queen”. She was a charter and longstanding member of the “Hags, Nags and Bags Club” – childhood friends who met once a month to share views about family, life, change, etc. During her golden years, Pat enjoyed watching New England sports teams, working in her yard, day trips to the casinos, dinners with friends Chuck and Claire Camerlin and visits with her “favorite” grandson. She was a longtime communicant of St. John the Evangelist Church in Agawam. Pat will be remembered as a warm and loving daughter, sister, wife, aunt, grandmother, mother-in-law, godmother, friend, cousin, and the best mom ever.
