Nino DeSousa

SPRINGFIELD – Nino P. DeSousa, 27, passed away unexpectedly on October 23, 2019 at his home.

Born in Springfield, MA on September 22, 1992 to Jose J. and Anna Maria (Izzo) DeSousa. Nino graduated from Central High School and received his Associate’s Degree in Automotive from Springfield Technical Community College.

Nino was a shining light, with the biggest smile, a heart of gold, and always putting others first. His passions included skateboarding, working on cars, music and video games.

Nino will forever live in the hearts of his parents Jose and Anna Maria DeSousa; his brother Fabio DeSousa and his wife Christina; his paternal grandmother Virginia Francisco; his girlfriend Heather Smith and his aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family members and friends.

Nino was predeceased by his paternal grandfather Antonio Francisco and his maternal grandparents Nino and Filomena (Calvanese) Izzo.

Calling hours are Tuesday, October 29, 2019 from 3-7 pm at Forastiere Smith Funeral Home, 220 North Main Street, East Longmeadow. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, October 30, 2019, at 8:30 am at the funeral home, followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 10 AM at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, 123 William St. Springfield, with burial at St. Michael’s Cemetery, State St. Springfield.
