Nancy E Bellows

Nancy Elizabeth (Kendall) Bellows, 94, passed away peacefully on March 14, 2023 at home with her beloved husband of seventy-three years, William, at her side. Nancy was born in Grafton MA on August 4, 1928 to the late C. Donald and Catherine (Hall) Kendall and grew up in West Springfield. Nancy and William, both age 14, met at dancing school. She graduated from West Springfield High School and the University of Massachusetts with a bachelors degree, and married her sweetheart Bill in 1950. They raised a family together in West Springfield, where she volunteered at Mitteneague Congregational Church and worked for West Bank. Nancy and Bill enjoyed being outdoors, camping, canoeing, and, with their RV, spent many winters in the Florida outdoors. Nancy was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. At her home with her family is where her heart was always full.
She will be deeply missed by her loving husband William O. Bellows of Southwick, her children George Bellows of Stuart, FL, Lorraine McKay of Southwick, Alan Bellows (Wendy) of Boothbay, ME, and Warren Bellows (Anita) of Waterford, CT, her grandchildren Andrea (Mike), Daniel (Amanda), Raymond, Michael, Janet and Alison, her 8 great grandchildren, and nieces, nephews and extended family.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her brother Charles A. Kendall, her son-in-law John McKay and her daughter-in-law Ann Bellows.
Family and friends are invited to gather on Tuesday April 4, 2023 from 4-5:30pm at Southwick Forastiere Funeral & Cremation, 624 College Hwy, Southwick MA. A sharing of memories will follow at 5:30pm.
