Obituary
Michael John Iellamo, 26, beloved son, grandson, nephew, cousin and friend passed away on March 6, 2018. He was born in Springfield, the son of John Iellamo and Katherine (Bruno) Iellamo. He graduated from Agawam High School in 2009 and played both high school baseball and football. Michael was an adventurous young man with a big heart and well known to be a gentle, generous and loyal friend with an infectious smile and laugh. He had a great love for all his family members and will be missed by everyone who had the pleasure and honor of knowing him. His loving caring ways will live in their hearts forever. Michael is predeceased by his Nunu, Nelson Bruno who was his idol. They had many wonderful times golfing together and Nunu never ever missed a practice or a baseball game. Michael also enjoyed going to the casino with his brother Anthony where they had many good times together. He leaves to cherish his memory, his mother, Kathy Iellamo and her fiancé David Courchesne of Agawam; his father, John Iellamo of Rhode Island; his brother, Anthony Iellamo of Agawam; his grandmother, Antoinette Bruno of Agawam; his grandparents, Barbara and Joseph Iellamo of Rhode Island; his aunt, Paula Leavitt of Agawam; his cousins, Megan and Brittany Leavitt of Southwick; and his second cousins, Riley and Logan Soukup. Family and friends are invited to attend visiting hours on Monday, March 12th from 9-11AM at Colonial Forastiere Funeral Home 985 Main St., in Agawam, immediately followed by a procession to St. John the Evangelist Church in Agawam for a Funeral Mass at 12PM.
