Matthew L. Skowron

Agawam – Matthew L. Skowron, 40, of Agawam, MA; passed away suddenly Thursday, July 5, 2018 at Baystate Medical Center, Springfield. Born March 23, 1978 in Northampton, MA; he was a son to Richard J. and Christina A. (Sagan) Skowron. He served his country proudly in the U.S. Navy during Operation Freedom. In addition to his parents, he will be sadly missed by his loving daughter Ava Lee Skowron; brother Michael J. Skowron; maternal grandmother Mary H. Sagan; and numerous other loving relatives and friends. Matthew was predeceased by his paternal grandparents Walter and Helen Skowron; and maternal grandfather Leo Sagan. A graveside service will be held at 1PM on Tuesday, July 10th in the Massachusetts Veterans’ Memorial Cemetery, Agawam. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Matthew’s parents for a future college fund for Ava.
