Matthew T. Bedard

Hampden – Matthew Trent Bedard, 52, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, May 2, 2018. He was a beloved husband, father, and grandpa. He was born in Springfield to the late Conrad and Barbara (Kratovich) Bedard. Matt was a 1983 graduate of Cathedral High School. He was the owner of Matt’s Auto Service in Springfield for 30 years. To his family and friends he was a “diamond in the rough”; a kind, sweet and honest person who will be greatly missed. He loved the simple things in life, fishing, watching NASCAR, hunting, camping and spending time with his family. He leaves his loving and devoted wife of 19 years, Catherine Costella-Bedard; his children, Krista Gulluni of Ludlow, and Michael Gulluni of Hampden; his grandson Jared who was the light of his life; his sisters, Michelle Webber and her husband Jim, and Glenda Hauenstein and her husband John of Williston, VT; and several nieces and nephews. Family and friends are invited to attend visiting hours on Saturday, May 5th from 3:30PM to 6:30PM immediately followed by a Memorial Service at 6:30PM at Forastiere Smith Funeral and Cremation, 220 North Main ST., East Longmeadow.
