Mary Margaret Moore

Longmeadow – Mary Margaret (Tirella) Moore, 92, passed away peacefully on January 13, 2021. Mary was born in Worcester MA on February 26, 1928 to the late Sabino and Maria (Paladino) Tirella. Mary was a first generation Italian with nine siblings, and together they grew up in the Worcester Area. Mary had an artistic eye from a young age, and she went on to earn her Bachelor’s Degree from Goddard College and her Masters in Art from AIC in Springfield MA. She taught art classes in the Wilbraham School System for 15 years. She loved everything artistic and worked on watercolors, carvings and pottery to name a few. She had a large zest for life, and loved spending time with her close friends and family. Especially her movie group in Palm Beach FL, where she and her husband George resided every winter.
She will be deeply missed by her three daughters Holly, Jodie and Nancy, her four grandchildren Niccole, John, Elizabeth and William, her five great-grandchildren Violet, Hazel, Savanna, Beatrice and Grant, her two sister-in-laws Julia and Rita Tirella, and many nieces, nephews and extended family. In addition to her parents, Mary is predeceased by her loving husband George Moore Jr. and her nine siblings. Mary’s family would like to thank the nurses and staff of Beacon Hospice for their tender care for Mary, and a special thanks to Nurse Brittany who held her hand until the end.
