LONGMEADOW- Mark M. Moquin, 67, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday (November 18th. 2018). Mark was born in Springfield, but was a lifelong resident of Longmeadow. He graduated from Longmeadow High School and attended Paier School of Art in Hamden, Connecticut. Mark loved and inspired his family, and was loved by all. He enjoyed being a part of all the various family activities. He was an avid follower of all sports, including baseball (Red Sox), basketball (Boston Celtics) football (Patriots), hockey ( Springfield Kings and Boston Bruins). Mark and his sister enjoyed getting box seats for hockey at the Coliseum, and bus trips to Boston for Celtics and Bruins games.
Mark was predeceased by his parents, Armand and Helen (Shea) Moquin; a sister, Marjorie Gilsinger (2009); and brother in law, Charles Gilsinger (2007),
Mark is survived by a sister and brother in law, Maryann and Ray Crochetiere of Hampden, MA; along with one Uncle Francis Moquin of Dublin OH, his niece Christine Izzo and her husband James of Shelton CT, his niece Carolyn Foley of Greenwich CT, his nephew Craig Gilsinger and his wife Lonnie of Volo, IL, and several cousins and grand nieces and nephews.
His calling hours will take place from 4:00PM to 7:00PM on Monday (November 26th, 2018) at Forastiere Smith Family Funeral Home, 220 North Main St., East Longmeadow. Funeral services will begin at 10:00AM Tuesday (November 27, 2018) from the funeral home . A funeral mass will be offered at 11:00AM in St. Mary’s Church, 519 Longmeadow St., Longmeadow. Entombment will follow in St. Michael the Archangel Mausoleum, 1601 State St., Springfield.
