Marion F. Vecchio

Marion F. (Hastings) Vecchio, 95, of Southwick, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, February 12, 2020 at Heritage Hall West in Agawam. She was the beloved wife of 62 years to the late Ralph A. Vecchio. Marion was born in Southwick on June 2, 1924 and was the daughter of the late Warren C. Hastings and Ruth Amoret Hastings. She had worked for the United States Postal Service for 25 years until her retirement. Marion enjoyed reading, knitting, hosting coffee hours at the Southwick Congregational Church, she was also involved with the Reunion Committee at Westfield High School and was an Avon Rep for 60 years. Mother of Judith M. (Jim) Woodard of Richmond, VA, Ralph W. “Buddy” Vecchio of Southwick, Ellen T. Tompkins of Coventry, RI and Sally L. Vecchio of Southampton, MA. She is also survived by 13 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and many nieces, nephews. In addition to her she was predeceased by her brother Warren Hastings. Family and friends are invited to gather on Sunday, February 16, 2020 from 1–2 PM at Southwick Forastiere Funeral Home, 624 College Highway, Southwick with a service following at 2 PM.
