Obituary

Lynn Marie Jefson (Kadamus), 56, passed away at home in East Longmeadow, MA on September 7, 2021, surrounded by family and friends. She was a tireless and joy-filled daughter of God who made it easy for others to forget her long-suffering battle with cancer over more than a decade.

Lynn was born and raised in Upstate New York, moving with her family to Connecticut in her teenage years, where she returned shortly after marrying the love of her life, Todd, who she met while attending Cedarville University in Cedarville, OH. Lynn was passionate about her family. She loved her children and their spouses and cherished her grandchildren dearly. She was a beloved daughter and sister and a fun-loving aunt to her nieces and nephews.

Lynn went on to complete her undergraduate education at the University of Connecticut and received her Master's degree from Central Connecticut State University (while raising 4
children!). She was an impassioned educator, serving at Pioneer Valley Christian Academy in Springfield, MA where she impacted countless lives for the better. She poured herself out in service to her students and had a unique gift of bringing out the best in others.

She served her community well as a faithful member at Bethlehem Church in Hampden, MA, and as an active volunteer in their youth ministry. Her heart’s desire was to see others come to know and love Jesus. She desired to impact everyone she met with the love of Christ and to magnify Him with her life. Even in her last days, she sought ways to use her life and legacy as a channel for the glory of God. Lynn loved spending time with family and friends and took special joy in any time she could be at the beach. She trusted in Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior, ever contending for the cause of the gospel, and is now enjoying the fulfillment of that hope, resting safely in His arms on that Heavenly shore.

Lynn was preceded in her homecoming by her father, John Francis Kadamus, and leaves her mother, Barbara Jean Kadamus (Fleming), loving husband of 35 years, Todd, siblings Kevin Kadamus, Elaine Loftus (Kadamus) Tom Kadamus, and Alison Fancher (Kadamus); four children (and spouses): Nicholas (Haley), Ryan (Sarah), Alex, and Emily Carhart (Troy); and one grandchild Anderson, as well as two more babies Jefson (Nick & Haley, Ryan & Sarah) whom she was overjoyed to know were on the way.

A memorial service will be held in honor of Lynn at Bethlehem Church in Hampden, MA on Saturday, September 11 at 10 am. If you cannot attend and wish to view the service, it can be accessed on the Bethlehem Church facebook page (facebook.com/bethlehemhampden).

In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to the Lynn Jefson Peer Tutoring Center at Pioneer Valley Christian Academy.
