Lucien F. Gelineau
1935- 2022
East Longmeadow- Lucien “Sweet Lou” Gelineau, 86, left this world on June 4 after a brief illness and is now reunited with his beautiful daughter, Ellen who he missed terribly since 2016, and many others who have left before him in his life’s journey. Husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, friend, he will be missed by many.
After a long career in sales, he retired on his 60th birthday to relax and enjoy life and he did. Always a joke to tell and for the next party to start. He could keep up with everyone. He leaves behind his wonderful, loyal and loving wife Paulette of nearly 63 years. They created a life time of beautiful memories together. His son Michael and daughters Carolyn and Deborah Gelineau, his amazing granddaughter Alexandra de Liefde, his sister Rolande Emond (and his partner in crime), and many nieces, nephews, and countless friends everywhere.
Rest in peace now dad. Take a deep breath.
Funeral Services will be held Friday June 10, 2022 from 11-1 at the Forastiere Smith Funeral and Cremation, 220 N. Main Street, East Longmeadow, MA 01028, followed by a funeral home service at 1pm and burial with military honors in the West Cemetery Somers Connecticut.
