Lois Ann Knight

Feeding Hills- Lois Ann (Merwin) Knight, 82, passed away November 5, 2017 unexpectedly at her home. She was the devoted wife of 44 years to Richard E. Knight. She was born in Springfield, the daughter of the late Gordon M. and Marceline A. (Gosselin) Merwin. A 1953 graduate of Agawam High School, Lois also attended a local nursing program. She was employed as an LPN/Medical Transcriber. Lois was last employed for 13 years by Johnson Memorial Hospital, Stafford Springs and previously for almost twelve years at Providence Hospital, Holyoke. Lois and Richard enjoyed traveling all over the United States and to different parts of Europe. She loved the New England Patriots. She was predeceased by a son, Daniel P. Alexander in 1996. Besides her husband, Lois is survived by her loving 2 daughters and sons in law, Susan E. Wills (Ricky) of Agawam, Ma, Amy J. LaValley (Robert) of Westfield, MA; a dear brother, Russell A. Merwin of Dunstable; and3 cherished grandchildren, Julie M. Nelson (Gary), Megan E. Wills, Nathan R. LaValley; a niece Heather and nephew David. Her funeral and burial service are private. There are no calling hours.
