Linda Ellen Starkey

SOUTHWICK- Linda Ellen (Morehouse) Starkey 73, devoted wife of the late George Starkey, passed away on June 9, 2022 in Baystate Medical Center, Springfield; surrounded by her loving family. Linda was born on February 20, 1949 in Springfield, to the late Chester and Grace (Larrabee) Morehouse; and was a resident of Southwick all of her life. She was a graduate of Southwick High School.
For thirty years, Linda joined her husband George and ran Heath Amusements. They traveled up and down the East Coast providing Ferris wheel rides, candy apples, and cotton candy; to children and adults alike. Linda will always be remembered as an unselfish person, putting the needs of others above her own. She would never refuse to help anyone in need. In addition to her parents and her husband, Linda was predeceased by a brother, Joseph Morehouse. Linda is survived by her loving family, a daughter, Jackie Starkey of Agawam; three sons, Eric Starkey and his wife Courtney Starkey, Ralph Starkey all of Southwick, Dan Starkey and his wife Lea Starkey of Agawam; her sister, Roberta Haracz and her husband Stanley of Westfield; her very special significant other of 23 years, Tony Amato of Agawam; five grandchildren, Braylin, Harper, Jessica, Adam, Jake; along with extended family members.
A funeral home service will be held at 11:00AM on Friday June 17, 2022 in the Southwick Forastiere Funeral & Cremation, 624 College Highway, Southwick. Linda will be laid to rest in the New Cemetery, College Highway, Southwick. A calling hour for relatives and friends will take place one hour before the funeral home service.
