Linda Scalise Perry

SPRINGFIELD- Linda Scalise Perry, 63, passed away on September 10, 2017 at Baystate Medical Center. Linda was born in Springfield on April 19, 1954 , the daughter of the late Lawrence J. and Elizabeth C. (Benoit) Scalise. She was also the sister of the late Lionel Scalise. Linda was the book keeper for the family business Scalise Builder’s, Springfield. Linda then went on to work as a teacher’s aide for several area Catholic schools . For the past 11 years she was employed in the Bakery Department at Fresh Acres Market, Springfield. Linda was a parishioner of St. Catherine of Siena Church, Springfield. She was a devoted fan of the New York Yankees. Linda is survived by her devoted husband of 36 years, Stephen Perry; a son Lawrence J. Scalise and his wife Kimberly, their son Aidan and one on the way , Eli, all of Springfield; her best friends Janet Lomas of Springfield and Mary Brogan of Southwick ; and a brother, Fred Scalise of Belchertown .Funeral services will be held at 10:30AM on Friday (Sept. 15th) from the Forastiere Smith Family Funeral Home, 220 North Main St., East Longmeadow to be followed by an 11:30AM Liturgy of Christian Burial in St. Catherine of Siena Church, 1023 Parker St., Springfield. Burial will follow in Hillcrest Memorial Park, 895 Parker St., Springfield. Calling hours will take place from 4:00PM-7:00PM on Thursday (Sept. 14th) in the funeral home. www.forastiere.com
