Lillian M. Nastanski

Springfield- Lillian M. (Carestia) Nastanski, 88, passed away on May 30, 2019 at Life Care Center of Wilbraham. She was the wife of the late Joseph Nastanski. She was also preceded by a son, Glen J. Surprenant; and a grandchild Vincent Surprenant. Lillian is survived by two sons, Paul and his wife Melonie, of Chicopee, James of Springfield; one daughter, Doris of Springfield; a brother, Eugene Carestia of Florida; 4 grandchildren, Alecia, Krista, Jeremy, and Jocelyn; 2 great grandchildren, Keigan and Julian; along with nieces, nephews, and cousins. Born and educated in Springfield, Lillian was the daughter of the late Girio and Ada C. (Magnani) Carestia. She was last employed and retired from the Springfield School Dept. Lillian loved going to bingo, spending time with family and friends, volunteering at the Marconi Club, and watching her favorite teams, the New England Patriots and especially the Boston Bruins. Calling hours will take place from 8:00-9:00 AM with a funeral home service at 9:00AM on Friday June 7, 2019 in the Colonial Forastiere Family Funeral Home, 985 Main St., Agawam.
