Lauren Vanasse

Springfield- Lauren J. (Tomei) Vanasse, 71, passed away on June 13, 2020 at Baystate Medical Center, Springfield.
Born in Troy, NY she was a daughter of the late Lawrence and Elaine (Taffi) Tomei and was a Springfield area resident for most of her life. She retired as the Secretary to the Editor of the Springfield Republican after 36 years of loyal employment.
Lauren is survived by her husband of 47 years, Ronald Vanasse; her son, Christopher Vanasse and his wife Keysta, of Springfield; a daughter, Jennifer Payette, her husband Randy Payette, and their children, Kaitlyn and Kaleigh, all of Southwick; two brothers, Lawrence Tomei and his wife Liana, of Port Orange, FL; Robert Tomei and his wife Barbara, of Springfield; a sister, Karen Vadnais of Springfield; along with extended family.
Visitation will be held Sunday (July 12, 2020) from 2:00PM-5:00PM with a 4:00PM prayer service all in the Forastiere Smith Family Funeral Home, 220 North Main St., East Longmeadow.
