Obituary
Agawam - Laureen R. (Fleming) Bruso, 75, passed away peacefully at home February 9, 2021 surrounded with her loving children at her bedside. She was born in Holyoke, MA to the late George Fleming and Laura (Forester) Fleming. She worked as a CNA in multiple elderly care facilities for 33 years. She loved the outdoors, flower gardens, camping and fishing with her late husband, Donald J Bruso who passed away in 2010. She is survived by her beloved children Tammy Hotte and Husband Jesse of Palmer, Brenda Provost and fiancé Robert Scott of Agawam, Charles A McCormick Jr. and fiancé Angie, Christopher A. McCormick and wife Jenny, and Steven M. McCormick and wife Tracy all of Chicopee. She is also survived by her sisters Carol Shagnon of Orange, MA, and Linda Laliberty and husband Robert “BOB” Laliberty of Florida; and her brother Richard H. Fleming and fiancé Sandy Elliott of Chicopee. She is predeceased by her brothers Harold and George. She leaves behind her thirteen grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews and her beloved pets Candy, Daisy Mae and Mimi. She was, and always will be the WARDEN for the young ones, and the voice of family values. She was a voice of inspiration and symbol of strength for us to carry on her legacy. She was the best mother and friend to everyone she knew. She will be deeply missed by all. Flowers may be sent to Colonial Forastiere Funeral Home, 985 Main St. Agawam, MA 01001. Visiting hours for Laureen will be held from 1-3PM on Saturday, February 20, 2021 with a Celebration of Life service beginning at 3PM.
