Kathleen L. Kida

FEEDING HILLS – Kathleen L. Kida, 65, passed away on July 2, 2017 at the Jewish Nursing Home in Longmeadow. Born in San Jose, CA on December 4, 1951, she was the daughter of the late Thomas and Mary Lou (Pilakowski) Lyons. She was a teacher at Memorial School in West Springfield and Robinson Park School in Agawam. In addition to her passion for teaching, Kathleen loved to cook, garden and travel as often as possible. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her brother Timothy Lyons.  She leaves her loving husband John Kida of Feeding Hills; daughters Leslie Kida and her significant other Kevin Fontaine of Springfield and Lauren Zdroykowski and her husband Kevin of Enfield, CT; grandson Justin Zdroykowski; brother Kevin Lyons of CA; sisters Pamela Mirzayan and her husband Kris of CA, Mary Ellen Costantiello and her husband Franklin of NJ and Erin Lovern and her husband Richard of TX as well as extended family and many friends. Visitation will be on Monday, July 10, 2017 from 4-7 PM at Colonial Forastiere Funeral Home, 985 Main Street, Agawam, MA. Kathleen’s funeral will be on Tuesday, July 11, 2017 beginning at 8:45 AM at the funeral home followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 10 AM at St. John the Evangelist Church, Main Street, Agawam.
