Karen M Daponde

EAST LONGMEADOW – Karen M. Daponde, 55, passed away on May 17, 2023 at Baystate Medical Center. She was born in Springfield, MA on July 24, 1967; she was the daughter of Richard Douglas and Anne (Farrell) Maskowski. She had worked as an Autism Spectrum Disorder Paraprofessional in East Longmeadow Schools. In her spare time, she enjoyed cooking and gardening and she loved all living creatures especially birds and cats. Most of all, she loved her children. Karen leaves her mother Anne (Farrell) Maskowski and her husband Dave, her father Richard Douglas and his wife Susan; son Jack R. Daponde; her daughter Sarah M. Daponde; her brother Christopher Douglas and her beloved nieces Evie Douglas and Megan Dillard as well as extended family members and friends. Family and friends are invited to gather on Wednesday, May 24, 2023 from 5PM – 6PM at Forastiere Smith Funeral & Cremation, 220 North Main Street, East Longmeadow followed by a service at 6PM.
