Obituary

Julia M. Grover, 61 of Springfield, MA passed away peacefully Friday June 21, 2019 at Baystate Medical Center. Julia was born March 15, 1958 in Springfield, MA the daughter of Martin J. and Gloria F. (Gamelli) Orgovan. She attended schools in Springfield until she met her late husband of 31 years. Together they traveled the US spending time in New Orleans, LA where they had their first two daughters. They made their way back to New England to complete their family having 3 more children and settled in Brattleboro, VT where they raised their 5 children. Julia was a devoted mother and grandmother. She worked at several local businesses once her children were grown, most recent being Dutton Farm Stand in the greenhouse and various other farm stand duties, till returning to her childhood home in Springfield, MA in 2013. She was an avid gardener and artist; she enjoyed rebuilding furniture and always saw something new in the things around her. As a life long animal lover, she is remembered fondly by those who knew her as the lady with all the snakes. She loved to cook and bake keeping everyone well stocked in baked goods. Julia loved the outdoors, camping and going on adventures. She was a radiant person that everyone loved. She was a mother to every one of her children’s friends that walked in the door. Julia is survived by her 5 children, daughter Heather Cudworth and spouse Shane of Brattleboro, VT, daughter Melissa Grover of Buzzards Bay, MA, son Justin Grover and spouse Meghan of Brattleboro, VT, son Julian Grover and spouse Nicole of Hinsdale, NH, daughter Chanel Boucher and spouse Brian of Brattleboro, VT. 9 grandchildren, Vincent Grover, Dillon Cudworth, Quinn Grover, Alyssa Grover, Aunabella Boucher, Wyatt Cudworth, Lincoln Boucher, Ruby Cudworth and Harper Grover, grand puppies Hank and Honey Grover. Her dearly loved cat Matteo and Bird Sparky. Julia was predeceased by her husband Earl D. Grover and her parents Martin and Gloria Orgovan. A private family service will be held at a later date.
