Westfield – Joseph Michael Magagnoli, 68, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on July 27, 2021. Joe was born and raised in Springfield MA to the late Joseph and Beatrice (Colapietro) Magagnoli.
 
Joe and Mary settled in Westfield where they built their family home and raised two strong, independent daughters. As a nature lover, watching the animals in his backyard, including the birds, bears and foxes that frequented his yard brought him so much joy. He loved bike riding, ice cream, family trips, and truly enjoyed playing poker with his dear friend Tom. He was a loving husband, father and a wonderful uncle, "Uncle Michael". He will be truly missed.
 
He leaves behind his loving wife of 44 years Mary (Santos) Magagnoli of Westfield, his daughters Brianna and Dara, his sisters Carole Kahn, Diane Danio, Claudia Trask, Jeanne Horonzy, and all of his beloved nieces and nephews.
 
Family and friends are invited to calling hours on Saturday, July 31st from 8am to 10am at Forastiere Smith Funeral & Cremation, 220 N. Main St, East Longmeadow MA. A service will be held in celebration of Joe's life, beginning at 10am at the same location. Burial will be private. The family requests that masks be worn by all in attendance.
 
Memorial contributions in Joe’s name may be made to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society or to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
