Jonathan F. David
November 22, 1977 ~ May 21, 2018 (age 40) 40 Years Old
Agawam-- Our precious Jonathan David passed suddenly due to complications from severe asthma. As a lifelong resident of Agawam, Jonathan graduated Agawam High School in 1996 and from American International College. A quick wit and charmer, Jonathan was a movie enthusiast and was quite knowledgeable about films and actors. In his working career Jonathan was president of Benefit Solutions, Inc. He worked hard, enjoyed many wonderful awards, and had national recognition. His clientele in the financial planning business had both love and respect for Jonathan. His career in this field was a great part of his life, and he will be sorely missed. Jonathan was a generous person in life, and in fact, kept giving. His organs and tissues have been donated to lucky recipients. These gifts have already saved multiple lives. Of special note was the caring nursing staff and physicians in the ICU at Baystate Medical Center, as well as New England Donor Services. Each person was especially sensitive, accommodating and available throughout a difficult period. Jonathan is survived by his father, George W. David (Jayne) of West Springfield; his sisters Christine Farmer (Larry) of Upper Marlboro, MD, and Anita J. David of Trumbull, CT; and brother Andrew B. of West Springfield, as well as his beloved niece Grace and nephew Ethan. He also leaves behind his Uncle Brian David (Louise) of Feeding Hills, Aunt Beverly Maki (Tom) of Leominster, five cousins, many colleagues and clients, and so many special friends. He is predeceased by his mother, Jane B. David of Springfield. Colonial Forastiere Funeral Home, Agawam is handling the arrangements. A public funeral Mass will be held at Sacred Heart Parish, 1065 Springfield St, Feeding Hills MA, 01030, on Tuesday, May 29, at noon, with burial to follow across the street in Springfield Street Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in memory of Jonathan F. David to the Trudie David and Jonathan David Scholarship Fund ℅ STCC 1 Armory Square, Springfield, MA 01105, or to the New England Organ Donor Services at neds.org/give.
