John David Alden

Longmeadow - John David Alden, 77, transitioned peacefully on September 1st at Baystate Medical Center. He was predeceased by parents Reginald John and Elizabeth Erwin (of Dallas, Texas). He went to Center School in Longmeadow for primary education and Classical High School in Springfield (class of 1962). John was a tenth generation descendant of John Alden of the Mayflower. John’s greatest ideal was the pursuit of good deeds. His unequivocal passion was to help people through product research and development and the use of alternative medicine such as Homeopathy. He developed Skinny Water for weight loss. He is survived by wife, Susan; stepchildren, Karl, John Nino, and Vietnam; Step-grandchildren, Kyrie, Summer, and Frank. Visiting hours will be held on Friday, September 6th from 4-7PM at Forastiere Smith Funeral Home, 220 North Main St., East Longmeadow, MA. A service at the funeral home will be held on Saturday, September 7th at 9AM followed by burial in Longmeadow Cemetery, Longmeadow, MA.
