DUE TO THE SEVERE WEATHER CONDITIONS,

JOANNE TEMPLETON'S SERVICES HAVE BEEN RESCHEDULED TO

SATURDAY, FEBRUARY 5,  11:00 AM AT ST. MARY'S CHURCH, BURIAL AT GATE OF HEAVEN MAUSOLEUM.

Thank you for your patience and understanding.

Longmeadow – Joanne “JoJo” Beatrice (Cimino) Templeton will be remembered for the love she gave her family, to all children, and to anyone with whom she came in contact. She brought joy and was a ray of sunshine to all who met and knew her. People were drawn to JoJo. Her magnetic personality and ability to read people helped settle the most difficult child, which was a wonderful quality being a daycare provider for numerous years. JoJo was empathetic and strong, a consummate giver, truly selfless, and she was one of God’s greatest gifts. Her favorite moments were shared with her family: her husband, children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Her love will be missed and felt for eternity.
Born in Springfield, JoJo was the daughter of Beatrice (Danis) and Anthony Cimino. She graduated from The High School of Commerce. She met her husband Robert Templeton and they raised their own family of eight children in Springfield and Longmeadow. They were members and volunteers of St. Mary’s Church in Longmeadow. JoJo had many talents and she naturally became a daycare provider, caring for numerous children over the years. She sadly passed away on Sunday, January 23rd, 2022 with her caring family by her side.
She leaves to cherish her memory, her loving husband of nearly 60 years, Robert, her six children: Tammy Fahy and her husband John, Robert Acconcio, Scott Templeton and his wife Susan, Anthony Templeton and his wife Luiza, Robert Templeton and his wife Hilary, and Michael Templeton and her daughter-in-law Jessica; fifteen grandchildren: Jonathan and Meghann Fahy, Danny and Riley Templeton, Olivia and Catherine Templeton, Magnolia, Gwendolyn and Cecelia Templeton, Caden and Lyla Templeton, Alexandra and Samantha Acconcio, and Sklyer and Hunter Acconcio; great-grandchildren: Emma and Brooklyn Fahy; and her sister-in-law Avril Palazzi. Besides her parents, JoJo was predeceased by her two sons Mark and Christopher Acconcio, and her sister Joyce Acconcio.
To share in appreciation and love for JoJo, friends and family may gather on Friday, January 28, 2022 from 3:30-6:30pm at Forastiere Smith Funeral & Cremation on 220 N. Main Street in East Longmeadow. On Saturday, January 29th a Liturgy of Christian Burial will be at 10:00am in St. Mary’s Parish on 519 Longmeadow Street in Longmeadow and interment will take place in Gate of Heaven Mausoleum in Springfield. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Joanne Templeton’s memory at www.hartfordcatholicworker.org.
