Jeannette Tesny

Agawam – Jeannette V. (Gdula) Tesny, 85, of Agawam, passed away peacefully at home on Friday November 3, 2017. Born in Springfield to the late Louis and Helen (Grabowski) Gdula, she was a longtime area resident. Jeannette was a wonderful mother and housewife for most of her life and also spent time helping others as a Home Health Care Aide. She enjoyed camping crossword puzzles and spent countless hours on jigsaw puzzles. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her beloved husband, Steven J. Tesny, Jr. in 2009, her son, Steven P. Tesny in 2012 and by her brother, Louis Gdula and his wife Lorraine. She is survived by her children, John Tesny and his wife Karen of West Springfield, Joseph Tesny and Bonnie Tesny, both of Agawam; one grandchild, Jonathan Tesny and his wife Julybett and great-grandson, Julian E. Tesny. Family and friends are invited to meet for visitation on Tuesday November 7th from 5-8 PM at the Colonial Forastiere Funeral Home, 985 Main St., Agawam. A graveside service will be held on Wednesday November 8th at 9 AM in the Chapel at the Massachusetts Veterans’ Memorial Cemetery, 1390 Main St., Agawam.
