Huntington - Jeannette "Jean" A (Bousquet) Granger, 87, passed away on Friday, July 27, 2018. Jean was born and raised in Springfield, daughter of the late Joachim and Jeannette (Poirier) Bousquet. Jean married Richard Granger on April 23, 1948 and together they provided a wonderful home and memories for their five children. Jean loved being a homemaker, and kept her home beautiful. Holidays and numerous picnics were her specialty, providing delicious food for all of her family and friends. In 2003, Jean moved to Huntington to live with her daughter Cathy and adopted son Michael, and spent the next 14 years traveling. Jean had the time of her life with the Agawam seniors group, and the Huntington senior van service, making many new friends on their adventures. At home, Jean loved to watch the wildlife outside the back door, especially the bear cubs. Jean was predeceased by her husband Richard of 45 years in 1993, her brother Robert Bousquet of Putney, VT, and her granddaughter Pauline Carlo of N.Y. Jean leaves behind her children: Linda Czaja and her husband Jim of East Haddam CT, Rick Granger of Sumter SC, Debra Yelinek of Newburyport MA, Cathy Brisebois and her husband Michael of Huntington MA, and Jill Lindsey and her husband Gary of Gilbertville MA. She also leaves behind her sister Cherie Kingery and her husband Robert of Richmond, VA, and 5 grandchildren: Rob, his wife Jenn and son Alex; Laura, her husband Carl and daughter Anna; Mark Jr.; Grandson-in-law Joe and his daughters Julia, Emma, and Jaquelyn; Jeremy; Melissa, husband Nathan and daughter Natalie. A celebration of Jean’s life will be held from 4-6pm on Saturday, August 4, 2018 at Colonial Forastiere Funeral & Cremation, 985 Main Street in Agawam. A private burial will be held at the convenience of her family. Memorial donations may be made in Jean’s honor to the Ronald McDonald House, 34 Chapin St., Springfield, MA 01107.
