Jane E. Pihl

SPRINGFIELD – Jane Ellen (Clough) Pihl, 91, passed away on May 29, 2018 at Baystate Medical Center. Born in Ludlow, MA on August 17, 1926 to the late John H. and Irene (Fontaine) Clough, she was a 1944 graduate of High School of Commerce. For many years she worked as a Professional Business Woman for many companies. Jane was also a longtime member of the Daughters of the Niles. She leaves her daughters Cindy Normandin and her husband Neal and Linda Keene and her partner Michael Taylor all of East Longmeadow; step-children John David Pihl and Karen Piekarski and her husband Greg; grandchildren Daniel Bellerose and his wife Rachel and Lindsay Bellerose as well as numerous step-grandchildren and step-great grandchildren. Jane was predeceased by her husband John D. Pihl and her step-daughter Susanne Wilson. Family and friends are invited to gather on Saturday, June 2, 2018 from 9-10 AM at Forastiere Smith Funeral Home, 220 North Main Street, East Longmeadow, MA followed by a service at 10 AM. Burial will be in New Cemetery, Southwick, MA. Memorial contributions in Jane’s memory may be made to the Shriners’ Hospital for Children 516 Carew Street, Springfield, MA 01104.
