Jamie Lee Amato

Jamie Lee Amato, passed away at home on Friday, June 5, 2020. Jamie was known for her generosity and sense of humor. The family often speculates that the children’s musical talent came from her. Her beautiful operatic voice will be sorely missed at family Christmas caroling. Until the coronavirus, she enjoyed her restaurant work, volunteering at a number of music and stage productions, cultivating a huge vegetable garden at the local community garden and working out religiously at the Y. The loss of all that and of her freedom to visit friends hit her hard. We will miss her terribly as will the rest of her family and her beloved cat Greta. She was born on August 28, 1952 in Attleboro, Massachusetts. Due to Covid-19, a small group of family and friends will hold a celebration of life at 2PM on Saturday, July 18, 2020 at Colonial Forastiere Funeral Home, 985 Main St., Agawam, MA. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Westfield Animal Center at 178 Apremont Way, Westfield, MA 01085.
